Artist Statement:

My interest in woodworking began when I was a young boy, helping my father in his wood shop.  Now that I am retired, I enjoy making things out of wood for my own relaxation and enjoyment.  I love to create things from wood that are both decorative and useful.  I am currently working on various projects including Celtic knot trivets, children’s block sets, candle holders, and decorative jewelry boxes.  My intent is for others to enjoy the beauty and functionality of my woodworking.

In the following video, Chuck Shackelford explains his craft and why he likes to create woodwork.
